.. usually stands for "back" or "directory up". I find it confusing why clicking the button on the homepage would lead to the source code, as my understanding is, that the home page is root.

I imagine the website being in the content directory and .. taking you up to the project root. In any case, this is staying, its mostly just an "easter egg". I may add a more visible link to the site source in the future, although I believe people who actually want to see the source will be able to navigate to my Gitea profile and then go to the site source.
